About Us...

Established in 1986, Sound Technique provides specialist tuition in Electric Guitar , Acoustic/Classical Guitar , Bass , Drumming , Piano , Organ and Keyboard , as well as Music Theory and Aural Training .

With over 26 years of combined teaching experience, our fully qualified and highly experienced tutors are able to provide specialist instrumental tuition in a broad range of styles and genres - from rock to pop, classical to jazz... "from Ludwig Van Beethoven to Eddie Van Halen!"

Teaching pupils from the age of 6 to adults in their 80's, Sound Technique ensures that all pupils individual interest levels and tastes are catered for.

Learning for fun is a big part of what we do, however examinations are an option that many pupils choose to utilise. We make use of several major examination boards to allow pupils to achieve actual qualifications and grade levels on their instrument. With regard to examinations, we have a 100% success rate, with an average of 130 candidates entering per year, many of which regularly achieve full marks.

Sound Technique is not a "pin-money" or franchise operation - we take our music very seriously. Our love of music and our enthusiasm for learning is reflected in our pupils' passion for music. Many of our pupils have gone on to work and perform in the music industry: from PhD's in World Music to having works published on television; and from working in music production to playing professionally in bands.

At Sound Technique we utilise three purpose-built tuition rooms, all fully equipped with top of the range instruments and equipment, creating the ideal environment in which to learn.
